In reply to Albin. Touch the shutter lightly and scroll upwards. The camera will zoom in the Photo option, but not in the Portrait option. Turning on grid you also give crosshairs for getting the iPhone level Use this when copying a document on a level surface.

I’ve had iPhones since 2007 and never paid any attention to the camera much because I was so focused (hah!) on my DSLRs. Great article!

Most of these have Android equivalents. Interesting to check and learn my preference to set the Vol buttons for zoom isn’t available on iPhones (maybe with third-party apps?) Handshake can be a major blur factor for longer low-light or HDR and where possible I like to use a short self-timer for a few secs to stabilize the handset after the shutter press.

My settings aren’t the same as what you’re showing. I have a iPhone 12 Pro and the latest version of iOS.
