All photos look good when viewed on the small phone screen. They would even look better when viewed on a 1″ screen.

So, you don’t know how to use a lens hood? Or are you one of those who leaves it in place but mounted backwards.
Next test, make 12×18 inch prints and pixel peep. I think you will see the difference.

I hate to state the obvious but, if you don’t know how to use a dSLR, you can’t expect to get good photos. This is a ridiculous comparison. Why not just say the iPhone is a pretty good camera?

The difference I noticed most was the field of focus. On the Canon, the depth remained constant, so the grass right beside the couple was more in focus, and the iphone, everything that wasn’t the couple started the bokeh, so the grass beside the couple was already blurring…Not bad though! Still not spending that much on a phone
