I’ve been using Photodiva skin tone editor for years but switching to Lightroom has been necessary for my current job, so I’m learning its basics now. Thanks!

However, the face in the portrait card checker seems to have a greenish hue. I’ll give your advice a try and attempt to use the curves to address this issue, while aiming to avoid diminishing the natural green tones present in the entire image.

I am currently editing a portrait that was taken in a garden so lots of green around and the face has a green tint. I will have a go at following your advice to see if using the curves fixes it without reducing the green throughout the whole image.

Up till now I’ve been doing this in Photoshop, but I’ll definitely try it in Lightroom next time. 🙂
Question: When you hover your cursor over the image I presume it’s the same function as the Color Sample Tool in Photoshop (but temporary while you hold the cursor still). In Photoshop you can chose if the Color Sample Tool should display the values of just one pixel, or the average of 3x3pix, 5x5pix, 11x11pix and so on.. Do you know if there is a similar way to control this in Lightroom?
I played around in Lightroom and think that maybe I found the answer myself. I’m not sure though, would love it if you could confirm or dement if I’m right. 🙂 When you choose the White Balance Selector (W) in Lightroom, you have a slider right under your image called Scale. When draging the Scale slider up, the loupe expands from 5x5pix to.. well, more. ^^ Now when I pick a neutral spot to correct the white balance, the selector will gather the average value from a larger area than if the scale slider where at minimum (as by default). I suspect this slider also affect the information we get when we just hover our cursor over the image, but I’m not sure. What do you think? I’ll add a pic to try and explain what I mean. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d8a368649ffce07aeaa99d2a8c44c0b3f3dc279fe9e7978df3797fcd25266dde.png
Again thanks for a great article. Cheers!
