Great article, thanks for sharing! I always try to have my camera with me to do more of the "real life" type photos, not just pre-planned and staged ones. However, from my experience it's clear that you also need to be able to accept and fix the mistakes, and trust me, there WILL BE mistakes, because so many of the candid shots are made while "on the go", which might affects the images not in a cute way. For example, here is my go-to guide on straightening the picture.

Some good tips. One observation Tip# 19 Watch your background. Mother and child with ocean in the background has a wonky horizon which caught my eye immediately.

Many newer cameras have fold-out monitors, which can be ideal for street photography when you don’t want to look like you’re posed behind the viewfinder, pointing the camera at a close subject.

Some great insights and I really try to take my camera with me whenever I go for a walk because it’s better to take it with you and have no chance to use than miss an opportunity to get a good shot simply because it’s not with you. I also like thinking about the concept beforehand if there is any particular idea I want to try. If I plan to do the whole Smartshow 3d story afterwards I definitely plan it in advance and think about the pictures I certainly need to take.
